Meanwhile, Usagi heard from Motoki that Mamoru went missing in London! She tried to earn tickets by becoming a personal assistant for the day, but everything went horribly wrong. Luckily, Mamoru went missing because he was returning to Japan, and he confessed his feelings for Usagi. |

Ami and Rei ran into some trouble with their current lives as well. Both were caught out late by the police and had to deal with their parents. |

Zoisite grew concerned about Mamoru and Usagi's relationship and enlisted Venus to remove Usagi's memories of him, while Mio attempt to lead Mamoru away. Both plans failed miserably. Minako collapsed on stage during her concert and finally told Rei of her illness. |

Beryl attempted to trap Mamoru into coming to the Dark Kingdom by threatening the Shitennou. The trauma of seeing Mamoru in such trouble caused Princess Serenity to emerge in Usagi. Serenity threatened Beryl herself. |

Beryl demanded that Mamoru stop Usagi, and to prove she would go through with her threat to hurt the Shitennou, forced Nephrite to gut himself. Mamoru finally stopped the rampaging Princess, but went to the Dark Kingdom to protect the remaining Shitennou. |

Serenity emerged while Usagi slept, and the senshi searched for her. In the past, it was Serenity who destroyed the Earth after Endymion was killed in the battle against Beryl and Metallia. Her powers became linked to Metallia's, and when she attacks, Metallia grows stronger. |

Usagi had to keep herself calm in order to prevent Serenity from taking over. But she wasn't the only one with anger issues. Nephrite, now stuck in human form, literally ran into Motoki and somehow ended up working at Crown Kareoke. |

Minako's continuing illness was affecting her abilities as a senshi. Rei finally confronted Minako, the end result of which was a falling out. Meanwhile, an extremely powerful youma infused with the power of Metallia started attacking victims. |

Zoicite, concerned about Beryl's plan to trap Mamoru, offered up the life of the Princess as a trade to save him. A talk with Mamoru changed his mind, and he died saving Usagi from Metallia's youma. Venus collapsed during battle at the same time. |

When the youma attacked again, Minako found she could no longer transform. Luna and Ami were injured in the fight, and Makoto acted as a lightning rod in an attempt to destroy the youma. |

Makoto recovered in Minako's hotel. There were so many victims of the youma that the hospital was full. When the youma attacked again, Minako finally woke her latent powers and decided to finally get treatment for her illness. |

Minako did not survive her surgey. Mamoru decided to take Metallia into himself to prevent her from destroying the planet. |

Mamoru confronted Kunzite, who had just broken Beryl's control, and the two fought until Kunzite realized what Mamoru had done. Jadeite attempted to kill Mamoru, but Kunzite took the blow instead and died in his arms. Shortly thereafter, the power of Metallia overtook Mamoru. |

Dark Endymion destroyed Mio, and then turned on Usagi. When the other senshi are not able to stop him, Usagi is forced to deal the killing blow. The trauma caused Serenity to appear. |

Grief-stricken, Serenity decided to destroy all life on Earth, and the senshi were powerless to stop her. |

Usagi awoke on the dead Earth, with no one around but Mamoru. To close the past life, Usagi was forced to release the full force of the Mystical Silver Crystal, sacrificing her own life in the process. |

Usagi and Mamoru were stuck in limbo until Serenity and the Shitennou appeared, telling them to live in the present. Because their friends remembered them, they were able to return to life. Happy Ending, hurray! |
